About The Founder
Jigyasa Taneja Sethi
Jigyasa Taneja Sethi made her debut as an independent writer-director with her short fiction film dealing with the complex issue of incest, Dusshera – T’he Festival’, that won her a BAFTA award and Regional Oscar nomination in 2004. Her most recent film on teenage issues- ‘Pari and Pinocchio’, on Royal Stag Largeshort Films won her a directorial award at Mumbai Shorts International Film Festival and a Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Jigyasa is a independant creator and feature and web screenwriter with leading platforms in the industry. She has worked for Viacom, Culture Machine, Star and Excel Entertainment and is consultant to independant filmmakers in INdia nd US. She has also made ads for brands like Dabur,Pepsi,Royal Stag India Mart.
In the past, Jigyasa has worked as a creative director in television and also worked on projects such as such as Homi Adajani’s,” Being Cyrus”, Farhan Akhtar’s ” Don”, Nina Menkes’,” Phantom Love” and Janice Tanaka’s ” Swimming in Air” in Los Angeles.
One of her most cherished research based projects is the pan India film on Access To Justice for United Nations Development Project. She constantly upgrades herself with new challenges and stories that are local and global. Jigyasa’s channel Julaab Gang/Verbal Diarrhoea was one of top 30 on youtube’s OML Comedy Hunt and takes up issues related to women and socio economic subjects and events.
ROLE AS AN EDUCATOR AND PUBLIC SPEAKER
She is founder of JAM and Writers Bridge Online Education programs that aims to nurture talent and hone skills through international programs in theatre,writing and film for various age groups. The international curriculum has a unique approach toward creative thinking and expression.She has facilitated workshops for various groups including Bennett Coleman,Mahindra, various NGOs as well as prestigious schools and colleges across India and abroad over the last decade. Jigyasa has served on panels such as Ford Foundation and provided entry level opportunity to her students in Mumbai’s film Industry.
JAM is a production house making online and television commercials, documentaries, corporate promos and fiction films. Set up in 2007, JAM has done extensive work in the field of video production. We bring together motley of creative and technical experts to shoot, direct, edit and produce. We lay great emphasis on content and how a story is conceptualized and told visually. With Writer’s Bridge, we have put together a team of creative writers to dispense the most palatable of stories and oddball of scripts for our wide array of projects. In accompaniment, we continue to train prospective writers and media professionals in script, screenplay and copywriting. With a wide production network in Delhi and Mumbai, JAM continues to deliver international quality content.
